Settings — what each one does
Everything here is in Settings inside the Vereli app. Changes apply to messages sent after you save; a conversation already underway keeps the settings it started with.
Sending on / off
The switch that stops everything. Turn it off and Vereli sends nothing — no recovery messages, no follow-ups — while keeping your data, your history and your settings intact.
Use it if something looks wrong and you want to stop first and work it out second. It takes effect immediately.
Tone
How Vereli writes. Three options — friendly, professional, or casual — and it is worth a minute of your time, because the message goes out as your store, not as us.
Whichever you pick, every message still identifies your store by name and tells the customer how to stop. That part is not adjustable.
Quiet hours
The window when Vereli is allowed to send. Outside it, a message waits rather than being dropped — it goes out when the window next opens.
Defaults to 9am–8pm weekdays and 9am–5pm weekends, and it works in your customer's timezone, not yours. A Perth customer is not texted at 6am because your store is in Sydney.
This is not a preference we can override for you. Sending marketing messages at unreasonable hours is exactly what gets senders complained about, and it is one of the checks that runs before every single send.
Maximum messages per conversation
How many times Vereli will message one customer about one abandoned cart. Defaults to three, and three is deliberate: it is enough to catch someone who was genuinely distracted, and few enough to not become the thing they remember about your store.
You can lower it. You cannot raise it past the limit, and the count includes the first message.
Discount ceiling
The most Vereli is ever allowed to offer. Set it to zero and Vereli never offers a discount at all.
Two things worth knowing:
- Vereli cannot exceed it, and cannot invent one. The AI has no way to choose a percentage — it asks for "the discount" and the system supplies yours. That is enforced in the software, not by instructing the AI nicely.
- It offers at your ceiling, not below it. You have already decided the most you will give; a smaller offer risks spending your one attempt on something that does not convert.
A discount is only offered when a customer actually objects on price, and only once per conversation.
Per-collection ceilings
If your margins vary — full-price versus clearance — you can set a different ceiling for specific collections. A cart spanning collections uses the lowest applicable ceiling.
Weekly report recipients
Who gets the Monday summary: what was recovered, how many conversations ran, and what it cost.
Worth setting even if you do not want the report. It is also where Vereli sends handoff alerts — the email you get when a customer needs a human. Leave it empty and those alerts have nowhere to go.
Add more than one address if someone else handles customer contact.
